NEW MAN REALITY

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

One of the most profound truths of our Christian beliefs is that we have experienced not just a transition from our old life but a complete transformation—the reality that we are not becoming a new man but have indeed become a brand new man in Christ. This is a foundational shift establishing a whole new personal identity along with a major invitation to explore the depths of what this transformation means. The Apostle Peter says we have received everything that pertains to life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3), and now the Holy Spirit is taking us on a journey to discover just what “everything” entails.

A. W. Tozer wrote, “What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.” C.S. Lewis wrote, “How God thinks of us is not only more important but infinitely more important.” R.P. Goolsby wrote, “What comes into your mind when you think about what God thinks about you is not only the most important thing about us, it is the only foundation upon which to build your life and future.” Papa said through Jeremiah, “I know My thoughts about you…” From His first thoughts about you His thoughts have never changed, He sees you in His Son as a new man. Bill Johnson wrote, “I can’t afford to have thoughts in my head about me that God doesn’t have in His.”

Points to consider

1. You are God’s good idea. ( Psalm 139:14, 17 ) 

2. His idea includes making us into a NEW MAN in Christ Jesus. ( 2 Corinthians 5:17) 

3. He gave us a NEW nature. Dano McCollam says, “Our old sin nature was crucified with Jesus.” ( Galatians 2:20 )

4. He placed our NEW MAN into Christ. 

5. Then He put Christ into our NEW MAN. ( Colossians 1:27 )

6. He seated our NEW MAN in heavenly places with Christ Jesus. ( Ephesians 2:6 )

Declaration

I walk with a supernatural NEW-MAN paradigm in my life! I declare that I see with the NEW-MAN lenses and speak with a NEW-MAN language!

Scripture

• Colossians 3:3 (NIV) For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

• 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

• Eph 4:24 (NKJV) and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.

• Col 3:10 (NKJV) and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank you that through the new birth you've made me a NEW MAN. Thank you Holy Spirit that you are not working to improve my old man but You are introducing who I am as a NEW MAN. I ask that you help me today to consider my old man to be dead and I ask that you help me to view myself only in the way that You see me–in Christ. Help me understand all I have received in my NEW MAN. In Jesus name, amen.
